1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes for mounting of monitor arms or other aks.
You can attach a mitchell threaded collar and castle nut on one side and then a modular speedrail starter on the other and use it to mount suspension arms/gimbals onto dollys and other devices.
The Hex cheeseplate by itself can have many other uses!!
