The cornerstone of the REVOLT ecosystem – the Revolt TB50 to 3-pin XLR Smart Adapter.
Revolt functions just like a TB50 battery so that no compromises are made to operation. Just insert Revolt into your battery sled, connect your power source, and start shooting. The on-board logic processor manages the “digital handshake” that is required for maintaining power with no errors.
Revolt is powered from standard 3-pin XLR natively, or from 12/48VDC using the DC-3 and 100-240VAC using the AC-3.
The Revolt can be used alongside another TB-50 (in the other slot in the battery module). In this configuration if you revolt looses power the battery takes over seamlessly until you can restore power to the revolt.
To use the REVOLT and get power from an AC power source (like a generator or house power) you will need to by the Revolt AC-3 converter (click here)
The AC-3 converts 100-240V AC wall/house/shore power (Alternating Current) to high-discharge 3-pin XLR for applications where outlets are readily available. Especially valuable for crane/jibs where the base is stationary and is typically supplied with power.
To use the REVOLT and get power from an DC power source (like a automotive battery) you will need to by the Revolt DC-3 converter (click here)
The DC-3 converts common DC voltages such 12V, 36V and 48V to compatible 3-pin XLR. Highly valuable for automotive applications, where the DC-3 can be hard-wired to the vehicles own battery. Includes the DC-3 only with no additional cables. Use your existing 4-pin XLR Cables, or consider our 12V to Dual 4-pin XLR for wiring your DC-3 to a vehicle’s own 12V Battery for best high-discharge performance. Can be used with existing MotoCrane cable sets for proving power via your ACC PWR port on your ULTRA/RADICAL/HYPER.
*** NOTICE ***
REVOLT is unable to work with Ronin2 FIRMWARE version 1.3 it does work with all other versions.
*** NOTICE ***
A small number of Ronin 2’s have been known to NOT turn on using Revolt while it is connected to power sources 27.5V and greater, such as the 28V output typical of a Block Battery. As a result, MotoCrane has created the BLOCK BATTERY REGULATOR (BBR) module to reduce this typical output voltage from 28V to 26V. This lower voltage (26VDC) is known to work with all Ronin 2’s tested. The BBR has an input voltage range of 18-40VDC via 3-pin XLR, and outputs 26VDC via 3-pin XLR (20A peak).
