This is your basic schedule 40 aluminum tubing. Made of 6061-T6 Aluminum. Your choice of 6″, 1 ft., 2 ft., 4 ft., or 6 ft. sections.
This is very common on movie sets because it has so many uses. This size speed rail can also be used as track with some dollies such as the Dana Dolly. Normally it is used a lot also for fixed camera rigging on cars and to rig suspension arms like the CineMilled Action Arm and others.
The smaller sizes like the 6″ or 1′ can be used as a “starter” when used on our CineMilled Modular Speed Rail starter.
1-1/4″ is the size most commonly used in the USA and 1-1/2″ is more commonly used in Europe.
