High quality suction cups are a key part of any rigging kit, and the 4-1/2″ round suction cup is important because sometimes the shape of vehicle bodywork doesn’t give you room for a larger suction cup. It’s important to have a few different sizes.
The innovative CineMilled multi use modular top cheese plate design features 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes and thru holes throughout (1″ on center spaced), thus allowing you to mount all CineMilled Universal Gimbal Mounts, the new CineMilled Speedrail “Houdini” clamps which then allow you to mount speedrail in a horizontal position. CineMilled “Grenades” can also be mounted and used as speedrail “starters”. We also have built in safety strap slots on each corner to give you a mounting point for ratchet straps or gear loops to provide additional safety measure if the suction cup loses suction.
The main feature of our vehicle lineup is also the modular CineMilled Speedrail Starters. These modular starters are available in 1-1/4″ and 1-1/2″. These starters allow you to mount custom length speedrail to the suction cup. Giving you more freedom to rig.
The other main feature is that you can remove the top cheeseplate and actually use it for 2 other uses!! If you mount a CineMilled Mitchell Threaded Collar & Castle Nut to the bottom of the cheeseplate and you mount the CineMilled Modular Speedrail Starter to the top of it you now have a way to put a vertical speedrail on a dolly or crane that then enables you to mount your gimbal arm.
The other thing you can do with the top cheeseplate is if your purchase the CineMilled Pickup Truck Speedrail Starter hardware kit, you can use that on the bottom and then add the CineMilled Modular Speedrail Starter to the top of it you now have a way to put a vertical speedrail on your pickup truck.
